logan {pArKoUr}

A couple of weeks ago had the awesome opportunity to meet Logan. He's a fun lovin', screamo rockin', baseball playin', street runnin' dude. Yeah. He's that cool :)

When Logan told me he could "street run" I wasn't sure what that meant. Then he showed me:

He plopped down from that last shot and proceeded to tell that if he was street running he would do that kind of stuff while runnin' around in the alleys and streets. Then I was like...."ohhhh...like Parkour!" Then of course my mind immediately visited "The Office" episode where they featured parkour. TOO FUNNY!

Logan, you're fun personality, talent and faith are gonna take you places you've never dreamed! I'm so excited to see the fun things that will happen in your life :)

Mmmm...yummy sunflare...

Marcus {loves his shoes}

Marcus let me know on a couple of occasions that he likes, nay, loves his converses :) I was so stoked that:

1) he would brave the weather with me...AND
2) would drive 2 hours and 14 minutes (according to
Google maps) to have me take his pictures!

Can we say "honored???"

Well, I sure was! And it was so worth the sloppy mess we played in. As I make it mandatory...we laughed our faces off...and stuck 'em back on at the end of the session :) From dodging toilets, to the 'one-braid' pose to me freaking out that we were going to disturb a homeless man's sleep...turned out to be a bumpy tarp...

...this session was full of adventure and new inspiration for me. I've had a little lull from the weather but it's so encouraging that the break was not as big as last years. That, to me, means growth...it means that people like what I'm offering. It means that I truly am doin' MY thang. And it SO blesses me that folks, like Marcus, are willing to do something out of the box to humor my crazy ideas...it makes me happy :)

Michelle {just because she's fabulous}

The church choir was practicing for the Christmas Program. I remember the first time I saw her...I was like, "WOW! She's HOT!" Great hair. Great lips. Great eyes. She had THE best posture I had seen. EVER. She carried herself so confidently and I found myself having a hard time not staring.

She set the music neatly in front of the pianist. He started to play and then.....I realized that my mouth was gaping open! Out of her mouth flowed the most BEAUTIFUL voice! She was an opera singer....and as she hit the high notes of a mezzo soprano to "O Holy Night," I had bumps on my arms so big, someone could have mistaken my skin for a newly plucked turkeys. YES. She was that stinkin' good!

She went back to Switzerland to finish her contract at the Opera House there and felt she needed to come back to Great Falls. I had an amazing time with her daughter on this shoot! Aside from her singing engagements, Michelle is also an amazing pilates instructor! I have been going to her for some time now and my WORD! There are times where I seriously have to roll out of bed due to crazy sore abdominals. I love pilates thanks to Michelle. I have never had a trainer help me understand the connections my body needs to make. I feel so awesome after a session.

So, anyhoo, Michelle has been needing some new head shots to update her promotional stuff for her singing. We finally made it happen and decided to do the shoot at her house because:

1: It was a bit chilly outside
2: I absolutely LOVED the light
and
3: She has great taste for home decor

OK. I have to say it again. The light was AMAZING in her living room!!! I just love love love love loved it!

So here she is, Michelle, in all her fabulousness!!!

I don't know what it is....but I have a thing for these lay down, take 'em from the top angles now

{Marissa}

Daniella + Marissa = BFF.  Forever.

When I say I was nervous when shooting Marissa it's only because she was born into a family full of photographers.  Her sisters are amazing and so I had a wee bit of butterflies.  Now, being photographed by her big sis', she knows how to do her thang.  It was no problem getting her true self to shine through these images.  Isn't her dress amazing?!?!?!  I was all drooling when she pulled it out of her car.  And those shoes!  This is why I LA LA LOVE what I do.  Having fun photographing fabulous people.  Seriously...can I say blessed?

{Daniella}

This here is Miss Daniella...she knows like a bajillion languages.  Fluently.  I met her mamma who happens to be the co-owner/trainer at Precision Pilates.

Michelle + "inhale and corset" = me being sore in places I never knew I had muscle!

IT.  IS.  AWESOME!  Seriously, if you're in the Great Falls area you have to try it out.  She is an amazing trainer and I have lost 3 inches in my waist thanks to her :)  Had to give her a shout out...now back to Miss D.

We were going for texture and color and I think we were spot on.  I found her a rad bus...army maybe?  And she was all like, "I wanna be gangster."  You are so much fun Daniella!  Go on with your bad self :)  Hope you enjoy your sneak peeks!

Owen & Emma

I heart these t(w)eens!!!   I have been so stinkin' excited to post this session.  Between mom and I picking out wardrobe and careful thought on my locations, I think we nailed it!  I mean seriously...these two could be models.  It was so hard for me to pick out my favorites because they all look so darn awesome!

Owen is an amazing golfer and had just won THREE tournaments in a row!  He had me in tears he was making me laugh so hard with his office quotes and this had my face hurting...in response to the twirling of his golf club, "It's posing for you..."  The way he said it had me throwing my head back in the biggest belly laugh ever!  And Miss Emma...if I were guaranteed a girl like her then I would try for another baby in a heartbeat.  I could just take her home with me.  I adore her love of life and her joy is contagious.

We practically laughed the entire time...especially when mom conveniently had a hammer in her car so we could whack some tin back in place....priceless!  I can't thank you enough for the awesome time I had.  I'm truly blessed to have met ya'll...
